A couple of months ago. The coral is looking much better after the damage it took during shipping.

One of the reasons I was asking is that I was wondering if it might be time for me to try an Acropora or another SPS.

Yeah, I've been really nervous. The last time I did this, I couldn't keep SPS for anything. However, I didn't have nearly the control on water chemistry or lighting that I have now.

Just take it slow. it takes a while to get the hang of it but it pays offf big time

SPS or LPS is a hobbyist thing; there's no science behind it. How you split those two things depends if you think it's strictly a matter of polyp size or if it's more a matter of care requirements.
