I just added a LTA yesterday and my Saddleback Pair hosed it within and hour of introduction. Is this bad for the new Nem? The female is almost the same size as the Nem and seems to be bit rough on it.

Probably not. I'd recommend you just keep a close eye on it. If you see any issues, consider pulling it until you can work out a solution for keeping them away from it until it grows a bit. Maybe put one or the other in the sump for a while?

I only have two surge tanks above the tank with a 2700k light above it - I don't think the nem would do well under that light and water going up and down with the surge. This morning the nem unattached from under the rock and was just sitting on the sand mostly closed up with both clowns on it. I was able to use some egg crate to keep the clowns away and it's now reattached under the rock and is nice and open. I'm sure it would like more room, I'll have to figure something out. Thanks for info!

Saddlebacks are super aggressive. Ideally a larger nem for them. I had a saddleback hosting a small nem and beating him up. Luckily he moved over to my giant 16" nem. Now all is good.
