My wrasse isn’t doing well. Not sure what happened but he stopped eating last week and had stringy poop. Hope he can pull through.

Thank you very much. Love this hobby. Just letting it fill in now. Stopped stocking after the first year. That’s the downside to the nanos. Looking to upgrade to a 1000 gal system in the next year.

thanks again

Ever since Willy the wrasse passed and would say a few weeks leading up to ( two months ago) I’ve noticed my sps not popping as much and would say some have browned out a little.

I changed out my DI cartridge (it was reading 1 tds ).

I’m going to bring down nutrients. Water changes aren’t enough for nutrient control Anymore.

my phos (green) has been elevated for some time and started dosing phos ban this week. The stuff works. I’ve been averaging around .17 and after a few doses I’m at .05.

my trates have been hovering around 18-20. I’ve increased my fuge photoperiod by 4 hrs. Let’s see if that helps

I feed less food now I have a smaller bioload. My timing of the corals browning out almost aligns with with the steady increase in nitrates. Hmmmm.

Over the weekend I updated my radion xr30 from 77 to 80% schedule Using the AB+ at 100% intensity. Curious to see how the corals respond to the increase.

I broke out the par meter and I’m at about 450 at the top of the rocks and over 650+ half way up the green slimmer. the nem is over 350 par

edit on 10/3- I ended up turning Down the schedule to 72% as the corals were not responding well to the increase. Going in a different direction to lower par to see if I can get fuller colors. I’ve noticed in the last week already things are darkening up as opposed to being pale. We will see.

Absolutely beautiful biocube! Makes me miss mine! Amazing how much growth you've had in the past year. Do you dose anything?

Keep up the great work!

Maui was great. the Tanks are doing great. Unfortunately I found out I have Montipora Nudibranches on my digi. Hopefully I can keep them at bay. I saw adult size and eggs.

Good question. I’m gonna say no. I ended up losing most of it but it doesnt Look like it’s spreading to other corals.

you can see the pieces I removed. There is Some left and it doesn’t appear to have any additional tissue loss for what is left.

interesting enough when I removed the colony I had to lower my alk dose by 10 ml per day. So it was still consuming but the flesh was gone. Happy to report I’ve added 3 ml back.

honestly I’m glad it didn’t spread to other corals.

Chopped up my blue stag To let some other corals grow. Gonna cut down the slimmer next week. My weekly removal of bubble algae.

im seeing some recession on a few corals. Parameters are within range. Not sure what’s going on. I purposely didn’t clean glass or blow off rocks last week. I also think my flow needs some tweaking.

Thank's looking great! I've got some bubble algae in the tank too that I'm thinking about getting an emerald crab to take care of...but I'm also slightly concerned about him nipping my LPS....decisions decisions!

Tank's looking great!

Hey thanks, glad to see ppl still hanging around the thread.

I have an emerald somewhere in the tank. Wasn’t lucky as ”bilbo” doesn’t eat bubble algae. No nipping at all btw.
