LFS has these labeled at squamipinnis Anthias. I was under the impression that all lyretails have blue around the eyes with a line of blue under the eye.

There are two areas of the world lyretails can come from (that I know of at least)
Indian Ocean ones less common and not what we traditionally picture for the males. I don’t think the females differ much, but if the female is transitioning male, the colors will vary as it is transitioning to red vs purple

Mine in the pics above are Indian Ocean origin
