MACNA 2012 is now a pleasant memory, but we sure had a good time! Here are a couple of pics from our booth during the show:
Front row from left: Justin Credable from ReefGen, Me, my partner, Joe Caparatta (rear), and Laura Birenbaum from ReefGen.Tony Xiong from UC (front), and "Mr. Reef" himself, our dear friend Tony Vargas.
The legendary Richard Perrin of Tropicorium stops by the UC booth, and gave us all an impromptu history of the Trop's Overdose Chalice!
We needed help bagging corals on Sunday, so we put Long Island Aquarium/ReefGen uber aquarium nerd Joe Yaiullo to work. Of course, our Joe had to take VERY important calls while Jo Y. did the dirty work! After all, we were selling lots of HIS corals!
A neat moment when Jean Michel Cousteau stopped by to talk about sustainability with myself and ReefGen's Laura Birenbaum!
A very cool panorama shot of the speaker room during one of my presentations: A very high energy crowd made it a lot of fun! I gave two presentations- one a standard talk, and the other a live aquascaping demo with my buddy Marc Levanson (melev)...Always a lot of fun!
Looking forward to next year in Florida! In the mean time, we hope to see many of you at Reef-a-Palooza, right here in our home turf in SoCal!
We'd love to see some of your fun MACNA memories...feel free to post 'em here!
Regards,
Scott
