Macro/coral growing from crab shell?

Bought a few Halloween hermit crabs and this was growing from the shell of one of the crabs. I pulled it off and put it in my macro tank. What is it?

Not sure, I think the fuzz is misleading, google solieria, closest I could find.

It's definitely a red macroalgae, but from the photo view and the dense microalgae covering it, it is hard to say which one. I'd post a couple more photos.
