When I added him was when all this was in a column tank, and the rock was full uglies. I also like to let the back grow whatever algae to keep a grazing area. If needed I have another tank for grazing if I think he's starving.

Took a few photos today and I'm surprised at the amount of pods on the glass. There's a lot. No pod eater in here so they'll continue to breed.

Kenya tree looking nice and attached to the rock, rock flower anenomes looking happy, torch and hammers looking fluffy.

I've got to be honest with you, Mr. Rock Flower, I don't think this is the safest place for you.

I have tried to create barricades with rock between the active construction zone and my RFA garden. Pistol eventually tunnels to the other side of the tank... No where is safe in the sand :winking-face:

I know, this rfa moved like 3 inches overnight and the pistol was last burrowing in the opposite corner. I was surprised to see they met up. This particular rfa is the only one who's moved anywhere in this tank. The other 2 stayed in the spot I placed them in.

Haven't done much here, been busy with the other tanks. But here's my sun coral peeping out. I'm thawing some frozen for it now,I haven't seen it open in a bit so taking advantage.

Another 13.5 owner here. I've seen some people using PVC caps buried in the sand so the RFAs are more likely to stay put where you want them.

Edit: Here's an R2R post about it. Good info in this thread overall on RFAs as well.

I've got Coraline algea growing everywhere! Little spots popping up all over the back and filter wall. I also noticed my hammer looking nice and fluffy and maybe I should a new mouth on it, but the clowns were not having it.

Wow. Tested par with this stock light. Not good. About 115 ish on my rocks, less than 80 on the sand.

And I also hate the hood. It's just a pain to remove for feeding or cleaning and it drips everywhere and obviously the light needs an upgrade.

So. Can't go topless and with another light until I get it higher away from my 3yo. I found an ugly but sturdy tall sold wood dresser that looks perfect for my needs. Picking it up Sunday. Quick sand and paint and it'll be great. I know it.

I found an ugly but sturdy solid wood dresser that fits the tank perfectly. Just need to de-ugly. Going all black. And I'm thinking of epoxy resin on the top? The most durable top coating I can think of.

I would need a ladder to do maintenance on that tank :grinning-squinting-face:
