I had these magicians for about 6 months and they have been having doing well but for whatever have really been stretching. I originally had them on the sand bed on their own rock rubble but it seemed like they really wanted more light. they are now about mid way up the tank in much higher par area but haven't really settled down. What I did notice is that their little tentacles on some of the heads are swollen. Is there something wrong them? Any help would be appreciated. I took pictures of it after lights out and while lights were on.

Some pally's/zoa's like higher light, they also need some amount of water movement. What kind of light do you have and what intensity How is the flow?

I am almost wondering if they need more light. What kind of light are you using and do you know the PAR they are getting?

Hello,

The tank is a JBJ45 cube style. I have AI Hydra 32HD that is running a modified AB+ light schedule. Tank has dual RFG outlets, with two power heads on each side of the tank. There is good random flow throughout the tank. Water parameters have been pretty stable, with a couple points of the numbers below.

PH: 8.3
ALK: 8.5
MAG: 1400
Nitrate: 12.1
Phos: .12
CALC: 450
Salinity: 1.026

The measured par in the area they are in is around 200. More than just the reaching I was concerned the swollen tentacles might be some type of disease I should be worried about.
