Magnifica's only have thin tentacles in captivity?

I have seen magnificas in the wild but I have never seen a single one with thin tentacles. I don't remember seeing any videos of them in the wild with thin tentacles either.

Is it something that only happens in our tanks?

No idea honestly. Mine's upset at the moment as one of my peppermint's got too close yesterday and it seems to be working to digest it. Outside of that???
