I've got a Fluval 15 Flex going with an inTank media basket in the first chamber packed with filter floss, ceramic rings, and carbon. I don't have a basket in the second chamber, so I chucked a bunch of dry rubble rock in there with some pods to build up more biological filtration. In hindsight, I didn't stop to think about what kind of maintenance I should be doing for that chamber. Should I be looking out for detritus buildup or sediment collecting at the bottom? Removing the rocks periodically to inspect since I can't really see back there? Is it worth getting a second media basket to make this easier, or am I overthinking it? Thanks!
