So, I was cleaning thick algae off the MarinePure blocks at the bottom of my fuge, AGAIN. It's time consuming and damages the brittle cubes. I'd been watching adds for algae scrubbers and the concept seemed quite simple. Do you think this will work? Covered my cubes with this mesh, Chaeto is above the mesh as is the light of course. As needed I can pull the mesh and power wash it.

May or may not. Is there flow to the blocks?

What if you stack the blocks on one side and the light is on the other side?
Water flows in from the left through weirs in the bottom half of a baffle. It should flow above, below and through the mesh. Granted there will be less flow through blocks farther to the right I believe that was already the case. Honestly I question the benefit of the blocks. They were included in my Algae Barn pod order ostensibly to provide homes for pods although I'm not sure they do that.I have 100# of porous rock in my 130 gal display so I know I'm good on surface area for bacteria.
