Update - DAY 2

-Mg tested at 1425ppm. I fell short of goal by 15ppm. Pretty close and very predictable. Tonight I dosed for 17 gallons of water instead of 16.

-The increase in Mg dosage is .1 oz or 2.957 ml. For a total Tech M dose of 79.849ml. I rounded it up to 80ml

-I predict tomorrow's Mg level to have an increase of 90-100ppm. The reading should be 1515-1525ppm. This put me short of my intended goal of 1530ppm with a process inefficiency of -15ppm, so far. I'm going to track process efficiency as well. Do a nice little formula in numbers efficiency % +/- column.

Ill also report no ill effect to anything inside the tank after 2nd dose. Note that the fish are always going to be under the sand (sleeping) during doses. Shrimp wanted to run right into the Mg cloud. I didn't like this so I poured slowly straight into the high flowing water column. Everything looking fine. I'll get some picture tomorrow, sorry @reeferfoxx .

We're rooting for ya. reminds me of an old saying I once heard - every time a reefer defeats bryopsis, an angel gets its wings. You guys can use that if you want.

Update - Day 3

-Mg tested at 1530ppm tonight. Overshot by 15ppm. 115ppm dose last night. Ouch. Well at least I'm back on target now. So tonight I went over the 1500 marks and now I'm using the extended table I built last night. I added 78.5ml of Tech M tonight. That should be 100ppm. Tomorrow, 1650ppm

@reeferfoxx , It was a busy night, I forgot to upload some pictures. I have a few in the OP now. I'll get some natural light pictures today during maintenance. So these first 3 pictures are showing the invasion on my sunny d and neighboring zoas. This is the main origional source. I'm going to dig for some past pictures to show its growth.

That's cool, regardless of the outcome it will be well shared. Yeah, so that's really good! I really want this to be a success, and if it is a success I want it to be a valid experiment, with solid documentation. I am thinking while the Bryopsis is still healthy I should take a sample and try to get some Macro pictures, or send it to someone with a decent microscope.

Are there any questions or problems with my documentation? Charts viewable/make sense? I know these first pictures aren't very good and I will take care of that today.

Update - Day 4

-Mg tested at 1605ppm tonight. 15ppm below target. Actual dosage last night was 85ppm. I'm going to see if it's repeatable and dose 78.5ml again tonight.

-Got a little busy with the Pico and 65g build today after the manual Bryopsis removal. I did get some really nice macro pictures of my Bry is some fresh water. Updated on OP.

Nice video there. Vivid Aquariums A+. In this video I believe they are raising to 1600 and holding that ppm for up to 6 weeks. Not sure how fast they brought it up either, or bringing it down. I'm still following a similar process, but raising higher 1800ppm-2000ppm. TYVM @revhtree .

Everything in the tank looks great. I should be just under 1700ppm tonight. Well, everything was great until I found out last night I have at least 1 peppermint that's gone rouge. That's a separate thread unless....it's gone mental from Mg. ha!

Updating after the fish are all tucked away. Roughly 9pm EST I should be finished testing and dosing. I don't know if anyone else has noticed but I'm testing the day after I dose. I just want to make every test be accurate, consistant, and there are only 50 tests per regular 1ml tests. I'm used about 1.07ml last night. Probably be 1.13ml tonight, if I did the head math right just now.
