Picked up this guy at my lfs. Concerned about its stress level as it’s been hanging in the back of the tank since Sunday breathing like this. Haven’t noted him pecking at anything. Per lfs he was doing well and even eating Pac Pods. Moved him to this to a quarantine box today. How long do they normally take to acclimate?

put a piece of PVC or something for him to hide in and get out of the light. Is he eating? Do you have any live pods or brine shrimp?

There may be plenty of pods in the tank, but I don't know if that's the case for the acclimation box he is in. I second the pvc recommendation. And I would probably try some live brine to see if there is much of a feeding response.
