Mandarin Dragonet has bilateral white spots?

Hello all!

I have a green mandarin dragonet, we have had him in our DT for about 3 weeks now and has been doing wonderfully, eating well, cruising along, being a good lil man!

Today we noticed two, equally sized and placed, bilateral white spots on each pectoral fin. They are approximately 1mm in diameter, there are no other white spots on him (or on any of our other fish), he’s eating and behaving normally.

Could this just be his natural pattern that we somehow never noticed before? Somehow a symmetrical scrape/abrasion from rock work or coral?

It isnt presenting like ich but we haven’t seen it in our tank yet so I could be wrong I suppose.

It looks like small abrasions to me. Possibly from wedging in a rock at night.
I’d observe it and see if they heal.

The photos and video don’t show much being the fish is in the shadow of the rock, and pics are a big blurry.

Mandarines because of the fishes slime coat tend not to get ich. BUT does not mean they can’t. This disease finds a way especially if a tank has it in numbers. See if you can get the camera to focus. And the white lights are the best like you already have for pictures and videos. If you can get some pics that are more clear advice can be given.

Keep an eye out on how the fish is breathing, eating, swimming, if it’s flashing of sorts and so on. And report back.

Weird, I've not seen that before. Fish diseases tend to be random in their distribution, not symetrical, but then, so do injuries...

I don't see anything "treatable" here, just keep an eye on it.....
