So my buddy that I got into saltwater is moving and broke down his tank and gave me all his livestock..I've had a target mandarin for about a year now and he gave me a psychedelic mandarin..Last night I captured this on video...is this how they do the deed?

It's fighting. If they are both females, which it appears they are, they they probably won't ever get along in that tank. Keep the one you like better and sell the other one. Otherwise you'll have 1 mandarin and 1 dead mandarin.

Since your target is the established fish and the psychedelic is new, the target is trying to show domination over the new one. It is perfectly normal and will normally go away with time. However, keep an eye on them as it doesn't always. How large is your tank?
