You may want to think about doing a biotype tank and research what small fish live in and around the mangroves - I think you'll find plenty of options! Depending on where you live, you could even make the trip to collect your own fish!

Dumb question. my red mangrove isn't growing straight but has sprouted leaves. Can I cut it into half and let it regrow by submerging it into my tank again? Like a new mangrove seedling

I wouldn’t do that, chances are you kill it. Mangroves grow out of seeds like this

Let it do it’s thing and see how it ends up growing, it’s probably going to be something very cool at the end.
