This is my second go around getting rose corals as hitchhikers from Gulf Live rock. Considering the rock was shipped out of water it just proves how hardy some corals can be. I found 3 of these guys, 2 large and 1 small. I’ll bet there are more small ones yet to be found.

The small one got dragged off and is now in my Biocube setup. It is very red at this point and I wonder if these corals always turn to a green or some stay red like this.

lol at your factory and paper towel pics. I always catch myself almost posting pictures of my kids or a flower at the store I liked or a screenshot of the stupid things my grandma texts me. Lolol regarding your actual post, awesome hitchhiker! I hope to get some on the rock I’m going to order soon. Did you recently get these rocks? Maybe the weather during collection and shipping makes a difference in their survival?

Lol, not sure how that happened.

I just got the rocks about 4 weeks ago. The rose corals looked in bad shape with a lot of skeleton showing, but they have come back pretty well.

no worries, made me laugh! Did you do the airport shipping or the standard? Trying to gauge transit time

I did the airplane shipping. I had a huge gorgonian that survived as well. A couple dead mantis shrimps in thE bottom of the box. Very little in the way of inverts compared to the last time I bought rock from them.
