This thread is just to show progression on a project I am working on. My display tank is a water box 100. Im building a sump room directly below it in the basement. Basics of my room will include but not limited to-
* 100 g sump (Rubbermaid 100 g trough)

* water mixing/making (2x 32g brute cans and 1x 40g brute can for junk water.

* copepod cultures & phyto cultures

* shelving for expansion, frag tank quarantine ext ext.

First and foremost I am no expert and learning as I go with help from fellow refers & my local reef supply guy. I've ordered an apex,trident, 2 dosing pump systems and a few other products. The goal with the apex system is to automate testing,waterchanges, and to to give access to my system to my reef shop to help me monitor conditions as I learn. I have a desk with a oeg board back im contemplating putting into the sump room. If I do the peg board will be used to mount and hold all of tbe apex equipment...
I have a small 10"x20" basement window that I will be re framing and running an inline 6 inch humidistat exhaust fan. Its used in growroom applications to regulate humidity and temp.
I am installing a new 200 amp load center in my home and dedicating a circuit to this room. At some point and time a generac will be installed on my home but may be upwards of a year to two years from now.
Thanks for following along and I will do my best to take pictures, videos, and update my build as it progresses!

Just a little update I know not many are watching but those interested im making use of an 8'×10' space in my basement. I have a 100.3 waterbox I've been moving all over my living room trying to find the right spot and the south east corner is the final destination. So is tbe sump room. Here are some random pictures. im using alot of what I already had laying around such as furniture and lumber and I sold some other money items from another hobby to fund my build a little here in the beginning. This is a first for me but the local salt shop guy has been very generous in helping me with any questions in gear and so forth. Makes a big difference with some guidance. Which brings me to my last and final comment. The apex automation will hopefully make this a breeze of a setup one day I

I have since finished my plumbing and have everything up and running for a dry test! All went well ☺ was so worried taking on building this little room. It wasn't a spotless big flashy build but its very workable and the extra space makes things awesome ! And for never doing plumbing i think it worked out pretty well !

Looking good so far with the exception of that one really “big fish”. They are known for their huge bio loads...LOL
