Do any one know which is the acropora species to go? My LFS is selling maricultured colonies for $75 a piece!

It wont be the first maricultured colony I got, just wondering what is the "mainstream" with possibilities of discovering a gem or two

examples would be acropora tenius and acropora microclados

Just get whatever looks good to you, tenuis is always hot at the moment, but from what I hear, a lot of what is coming in looks great, so it’s not difficult to choose what looks good.

Get some tenuis and see what colors you can pull out of them.

I agree, definitely getting tenuis, but like what about others? I got one that look like thick branch millepora, but then geez. those feeding tentacle/polyp totally ruined the piece

Personally, I like tenius. Just because I enjoy a lot of movement in my tank and the fluffy tenius polyps provide that. I like any acros with deep cups and fluffy polyps :). Get whatever speaks to you but if you’re looking to make a profit tenius is probably the way to go

nope, not in it for profit! $75 for a big piece to fill up tank is way more tempting than a 1inch growout frag lol

The tenuis and microlados go for big money. You might find a gem that slipped through to the regular bin. Try your best on ID before you part with money.

Where is the LFS? I'd like to come and look at the new corals! I'm still recovering from the Indo closure.
Post some pictures if you can. Thanks
