Really like these fish but wanted to hear some personal experiences with them. My tank is a mixed 40g reef tank with a mix of inverts as well. Would this fish work for my tank? Thanks!

I have had two. One for over 12 years (lost to HLLE) and the other has been in my new system for almost 2 years. They are shy, eat almost anything (not fond of pellets but love any thawed foods). The will try to eat small shrimp but small fish have been fine for me (Firefish sized). Great personalities and beautiful fish!

I have had 2 since March, with shrimp and small fish. They are peaceful, but are shy. It takes awhile, but they come out more and more.

A lot of the inofrmation online says you need lots and lots of caves for them to hide in, how true is this? Would I be ok with one cave?

One cave per specimen will be fine. I have 2 marine bettas with a lot of caves, they each stay in the same one.

Awesome!
