Hey guys, iv read that 1 marine pure block is ok for a 100g, i would like to know its placement, does it work exactly like a dsb? Im sure if water passes through it, can cause no3 issues as debris can get collected over time. Is it really worth? Howmany bio pure blocks for a 150g? Does it mean i can add less live rock? Im asking coz i prefer less live rocks and more space for fishes to move around.

1 of the blocks equals 23,000 square feet of new surface are. I run one in my sump with about 20 lbs of live rock/rubble for a 72 gallon DT with only 40 lbs of rock in the display. Oh and I use the marine pure balls also.

I use two 8x8x4's in my 280 only got about 120 lbs live rock.
Note it will keep nutrients very low I did have to cut down water changes to keep measurable nitrate and phosphate which also will lead to more dosing since wc may not replenish alk and Calc fast enough
