I've got them above a six-foot, 30" deep 220, and like them well enough. There is some shadowing below the crossbars at the 1/3 points, and below the gap between the lights. The lenses on these keep the beams pretty focused . . .

You can see it in this photo with only the blues on - during the day, it's less noticable.

Very nice. What are the white and blue settings at and how long do you run them? Are the fans quiet? I seen a review where someone had complained about the fan volume.

Does anyone get a lot of algae, amazon had a couple reviews where they swapped out some reds for blues due to algae growth. Looking to hear the Pros and Cons or the mods with replacement parts of mods.

When I had a single unit above a 65, I got hit with Bryopsis. Have hair algae on my back glass, but I can live with that. It should be noted that there are significant differences between my two lights, which were purchased a year apart - reds and greens are more evenly distributed in the newer fixture, royal blues are lacking entirely. I see no difference in fluorescence, so ... <shrug>

I've been running at about 60% blues, 40% whites, but just raised that a tad, as my acros and clam seem to enjoy it. I can't really hear the fans, but have other sources of "white noise" going on, so YMMV.

Bruce, what kind of clam are you keeping under your lights? Maxima, derasa.....?

That must be a very blue tank visually now. Is it?

And are you tracking par or lux?

Surprisingly no it's not that blue, white channel balances it out nicely. Par wise at 350 at water line. Most all my SPS are at 250+par with this led layout.

bump... How are the 300w owners liking the light?

I need to light a 34x15x21tall tank and I am considering this model. I might remove the middle half lenses get more spread while having the ends narrow.
I love mine I have it about 14 inches above my 30 x 30 x 24 cube. I keep the the blues at 100 and the whites at about 60 and it looks great and my sps grows like crazy. I am thinking about supplementing with t5's but only because I am worried about shadowing when everything grows out. I keep my motipora digi in the middle of the tank and they are happy Acros towards the top and my lps and softy's in the bottom corners and everything is happy.

I am going to mod it probably this weekend for my new apex to control.

Once I pulled my lenses, any shadowing on the edges was eliminated. To compensate for the drop in par, I just increased the intensity.

Nice. I though the swap was in both channels.

How high is the light from the water ?

I have two over a 125 and so far they've been great. They've been up and running for months now and I've had no problems with them and my coral are loving them.

very NICE!
Do you notice a lot of algae growth?
How tall is the 125?
How far is the light from the water line?
Light schedule?

Trying to mimic or get close to what current owners are using, then minor adjustments from there.

Once I finish my DIY stand I plan to order the light.
