I put this foxface through QT along with two gobies. Observed for a couple weeks and all appeared fine, two weeks prazipro, 4 weeks copper power at 2.0 and fed general cure (mixed with focus) for 10-12 days. All went fine and seemed completely healthy. When I caught them to move them to DT I noticed a lump on the dorsal fin of the foxface. It looked like a little clump of emerald entree had got caught on there. I picked it off and his fin looked fine so I proceeded to put him in my DT. After a few days it’s back and appears to be growing. Now I’m concerned about what I may have introduced to my DT.

He’s small and fast so it’s hard to get a good picture. Any ideas what this might be?

It could be lympho but I can’t see well enough in the pic.

Check out this thread if it resembles the pics.

Thanks for the info. Unless there’s something else extremely similar to this, I’d say that’s it. I’ll read up, but aside from good husbandry, it appears there’s little I can do. Just glad to know I didn’t just drop something in my DT that’s going to wipe it out. Again...

Lympho will often appear in QT, due to the stress of small new location, water quality, crowding, and/or meds.
Most of the time it will disappear in the DT, if conditions are good.
It's a virus, so there aren't any specific treatments available for it.
