Greetings my fellow reefers,
Today I want to talk about my 4 ½ inch Matara wrasse.
These guys are awesome for reef tanks and gorgeous to look at. I imported this fish 5 weeks ago. I have been nurturing this wrasse and would like to find a good aquarium for her/him with an owner that knows what they are doing and have experience. Please do not purchase this fish unless you have successfully kept it or have experience with this species. They require a specialized level of care. For example, among other things, this fish has a short digestive tract. They are very active fish. Large meals only slow them down. Their smaller stomachs allow them to move fast but they need to be fed several times a day.
They like to eat pellets, eat black worms, bine, mysis, chopped shrimp, copepods.
