Mavjoy's 57 Rimless Tank

Installed my lights today and also moved most of my equipment to the new tank:bigsmile:. I only transferred a frag of Garf bonsai from my local club frag swap yesterday. I almost upgraded to Tec lights but I can't leave without my halide. Here are some pics, mostly rocks again, with lights!

I'll be moving most of the corals during this week and hopefully everything makes it. More pics to come.

It's like starting over w/o nuisance algae or bugs. The Garf bonsai seems to be doing good so far.

I got busy tonight and transferred most of my SPS and some LPS to the new tank. Everything went well and just gotta check them out later this morning. Here are some pics under the moonlights.

Very nice tank.

Thanks Amore:bigsmile:. I got more pics of the tank with the lights on. I still got a lot of leftover corals and mostly be trading or selling them. Most of them are LPS and zoas. Here are the pics:

Got all my fishes moved few days ago and still moving some of my LPS. My dendro does not look too good tho. It's color is soo pale and no polyps. It was fine the first night but the sudden change must have affected it somehow. All parms are good.

Thanks broskie and can't wait to see another rimless tank. Did you get the Illuminata?

Awesome looking tank my friend. I really like that you don't have a ton of colonies everywhere, and that you're letting it "grow into" the tank. I love the look of the larger colonies. (of course mine doesn't achieve that because I can't decide what I want to keep and what I want to move on....ugh)

Love midas blennies. Maybe you can help me out with whether in your experience they're jumpers or not.

Thanks cloakerpoked. I'm trying to not overstock this time around. All of the corals came from my RSM tank. I'll just have everything grow but don't mind getting a few choice pieces to add to my collection:bigsmile:. My midas blenny has been good. None of my fishes tried to jump..yet..hehe.

Just got a frag of some aussie prism favia tonight. I'm leaning more towards favias and SPS to add to my tank. I also gotta get some new fishes in 2-3 weeks time to join my 4 other fishes. Any suggestions? I got a flame angel, yellow wrasse, maroon clown and a midas blenny. I'm thinking of another wrasse or how about a small purple tang? No jumpers please.

Aren't those two comments mutually exclusive?

I'm not so sure about all wrasses are jumpers? I got a yellow coris that's been good. I know some of the pricey ones are jumpers.

I think they all have the pre-disposition to jump, but not all will.
