Mavjoy's 57 Rimless Tank

I'm upgrading to a Oceanic 57 Illuminata rimless tank that I got from black friday sale. It's still cycling for almost 2 weeks now. I'll be using most of my equipment from my RSM tank. Here is the breakdown of equipment and other stuff:

Tank: 57 gallon Illuminata rimless tank
Stand: Petco brand
Sump: custom sump from LFS(no fuge area)
Lighting: 24" Current Outer Orbit 250HQI(14k Phoenix) with 4 T5s(3 ATI blue+, 1 KZ Fiji Purple)
Skimmer: ATB Econo 840 V1.5
Dosing pumps: 2 Drew's dosing pumps for CA and ALK
Controller: RKL
Return pump: Eheim 1250
ATO: AutoTopoff brand(works great)
Circulation: Vortech MP40w and Tunze 6025
Heater: Eheim 150w

I'm using mostly Marco rocks and some new LR to seed the rest and using 40 pounds of samoa pink sand. My future plans is to collect more SPS and watch everything grow, plus upgrading to a 36" fixture and another vortech pump won't be bad either:bigsmile:.

I am, as soon everything settles down with my new tank. It will come with my Tunze nano skimmer and InTank rack too.

Dan- Wassup man! I will definitely put most of my SPS on top of my rocks. Right on the middle area of the tank 'cause of fixture being 24" only..lol.

the reason i mention it is because they're going to grow huge with all that great equipment and it looks like six or so inches from the rocks to the top.

i want a rimless sooo bad...

I just hope they acclimate nicely when i move them. Pull the trigger on that 120 tech tank..you can do it!

Those toy puppies are pretty expensive. My sister in-law has a yorkshire terrier and it cost more than a Oceanic 120 tech tank..LOL.

Some more pics of my 2 week old tank. I started the tank with 2 Biodigest to jump start it and will be adding 1 more by tomorrow. I'm also will be testing the tank's water parms and see where it is. I also have StopAmmo when I add my fishes. Do I add the stopammo 2-3 days or a week before I add any fishes?

Thanks Marvin! I'm hoping the move will happen this week or weekend. I just did a some testing for Amm, Nitrite and Nitrate, and all 0 across the board. I guess 2-3 Biodigest works plus some LR and LS too.

Need some advice when transferring LS to a new tank. I'm planning on moving most of my LS batch by batch to the new tank. I'll be putting back my stock RSM light and move my other light to the new tank. Is it alright to have no lights for 2-3 days? One of my concerns is when I move my maxima and squamosa to the new tank with no lights, are they going to be fine or I should move them last?

Did some minor adjustments with the scape tonight. I can't wait this Friday night to start moving from the other tank. Gotta get some more aquamend and superglue.
