maxflow technical difficulties

so i got a maxflow wave maker and recently its been acting funny to where itll put out less flow than usual. i replug it and itll go back to normal, but recently its been doin it more fequently w less power. any tips on how to make this wave maker run like new? was also thinking of swapping for an AI nero, if anyone has used them would love some feedback.
