maxima clam health assessment

hello guys
would you think this is a healthy clam?
guess a new growth can be seen but foot seems like a one big hole
also, what are all the white shells remains in the clam shell, any idea?

The tiny spirorbis snails are not a problem.

I like to see fresh white shell being deposited, but this clam has green algae growing over that area, meaning it isn't laying down new calcium at the end of the shell like they do when they are alive and growing.

This one is alive, I'm not sure it putting it in a better environment would allow it to recover and start growing again?

The foot looks retracted and also has algae growing on that part of the shell as well. I don't think the foot is damaged but it may be?

I only have 2 clam, a Derasa and maxima. I could be wrong but it looks like you can see the insides of the clam where the foot should be. I don't remember that being the case with either of mine when I placed them in the tank. Also no visible new growth is ussualy not good.

This clam is not healthy. No new growth and the shell is relatively hollow. Heathy clams should have shell cavity full of tissue when close. There are open space when it is open. This one is relatively hollow. Unless it get into optimal environment it won’t last long.
