Would you say 50$ is a fair price for a used one, I’m looking to turn it down and put it on my 20 gallon, so when I upgrade to a bigger tank it sounds more reasonable because I already have everything for a bigger tankim well versed in it and the syna-g app- if u ever need help just dm- for that size tank you would need two 165s ,or two 190s, the coverage is nice on one, but its not going to cover the length of a long 50+, also depends on livestock
the par is adjustable, the mounting clamp works decent (can be awkward on fat rim tanks and a hacksaw may need to be used to trim the mount) , the only downside to these lights is sometimes the light unsyncs from the app (but retains your settings) , but a simple re plug in has always fixed for me.
Grows corals fast, has fully tuneable par and at different interval times, everything you could want, a true engineers light, best cost you will find for the power and tuneability, you can save setups like i have for "med bay" "anti cyano" "anti dino" etc.
I also never use the diffusers, but I can understand why some would, at full power they will make the house glow. lol

as long as all channels work and you can connect to the app buy that and NEVR LOOK BACK! LOL thats a steal, the best i paid for mine was like 180 each IIRC for the 190 bluesWould you say 50$ is a fair price for a used one, I’m looking to turn it down and put it on my 20 gallon, so when I upgrade to a bigger tank it sounds more reasonable because I already have everything for a bigger tank![]()
I think I’m going to buy it, along with a Milwaukee digital refractometer, and a AquaFX seahorse RO/DI water filtration system w chloromine blasters attachment package, all for 150$.Its so good that, if you have a problem with your tank, and you have someone like me with experience behind the wheel, with a light like this its as simple as me pasting a QR code you can scan, and it will give you the settings for whatever needed, basically remote light assistance.
ive made multiple settings for various problems, maybe i should make a thread to share
definitely a good deal but I think you know that, just make sure to do due diligence , like i said the diodes going out is never the problem/longevity is fine, the bluetooth on the unit going unsynced/having problems syncing is, but it is fixable, with patience, just unplug/replug the power cord, and reload of the app a few times, and it will catch up / sync , it gets weird if it gets really hot, i imagine they used cheaper bluetooth mcs to shave some cost for us , it gets the job done but its like an old chevy, let er cool before tinkeringI think I’m going to buy it, along with a Milwaukee digital refractometer, and a AquaFX seahorse RO/DI water filtration system w chloromine blasters attachment package, all for 150$.
So what should I check or what apps should I download to check it when I’m at their house buying it?definitely a good deal but I think you know that, just make sure to do due diligence , like i said the diodes going out is never the problem/longevity is fine, the bluetooth on the unit going unsynced/having problems syncing is, but it is fixable, with patience, just unplug/replug the power cord, and reload of the app a few times, and it will catch up / sync , it gets weird if it gets really hot, i imagine they used cheaper bluetooth mcs to shave some cost for us , it gets the job done but its like an old chevy, let er cool before tinkeringI think I’m going to buy it, along with a Milwaukee digital refractometer, and a AquaFX seahorse RO/DI water filtration system w chloromine blasters attachment package, all for 150$.
