I’d like to put a Maxspect xf230 on the back wall of my 220 reef. I’d like to place the pump on my overflow box which would mean the magnet would be submerged. Are these waterproof? I thought about using a ziplock bag or maybe even putting it in a vacuum sealer bag. Any opinions?

I did the exact same thing. Gyre on the iternal overflow, xf250. I was told by maxspect they are both waterproof. Never had an issue, until the gyre died 2 years later.
