Maxspect LS-90 lagoon thoughts?

Anyone know what size lock line fits the return nozzle or if the return nozzles are even replaceable. They are so short and I’d like to have a little more flexibility and length. I contacted Maxspect but they have not replied yet so thought I’d check in here to see if anyone knows.

That would be a nice piece to customize return flow. I took out my jump flow gyre the other day. Seems like the sides of mine are missing a cover around the magnets or something to keep them sealed and protect them from saltwater contact. I enjoy this tank, mine has been cycling half a year. Not sure how to turn off the full skimmer collection cup warming on the app?? or the door panel controller full collection cup warning?? I also feel like the included skimmer does not skim heavy enough. There are some great up to date features in this AIO. I need to you tube, or dig out the manuals to be a little more proficient with my tank responsibilities. Would like to see more from others on there builds. My picture is from mid November 2025.

Nice! Thanks for sharing. Did you put your return nozzles on each end or the front? I put mine in each end. Trying to get the skimmer dialed in as on lowest settings it was overflowing like crazy and bubbles galore in display but now 4 days in and some filter floss before the pump, I think it has settled some. Right now I have to set at 4 and about u inches in the water (I added eggs crate to raise it as anything lower was a complete bubble fest.). I would love to figure out if the return nozzles are replaceable and find the right size lock line to add a more flexible return nozzle to each side. I love the tank, I don’t love the fact the skimmer and gyre don’t come with own power banks and controllers in the event the main computer went out. That isn’t great to hear about the gyre, mine seems sealed but time will tell.

Very nice, clean, good looking set up! My return nozzles face each end. Usually have my pump at 7 or so and with tank dimensions and aquascape, there is moderate water movement. I’ve been using a Tunze wavemaker with my flow breaking the surface and directed to push fish food away from the overflow. Not sure I really need the jump gyre that was included. I tend to get too much going with flow and some of the fish are more content not being over swam, however, the amount of aquascape creates detritus traps. I would benefit from using the filter socks, not too savvy with those. Might get some filter floss on Amazon and jam some in those 4” filter cups instead of the socks.

Yeah I got the cups and I ordered an 18 pack of socks just to determine which I would like best, right now with the skimmer breaking in I’m using the socks and lining the top of the silencers with filter floss to try and help filter all the newness of the start up. My return is at 6 i think right now and seems to be working ok.

I'm not sure regular locline would adapt to the output assembly. Curious what Maxspect says though.

Maxspect must have sent it to bulk reef supply. Not sure why but this was their response

“Maxspect does not make extension return nozzles for their aquariums but they do use standard size plumbing (3/4" for the return line and 1" for the drain line) so standard Loc-Line parts should fit fine. So I’m not sure what that means or if the return nozzle can come off or not (it’s in there tight) but I assume loc line at 3/4 inch would fit?
Also I guess I need to register my tank. Does anyone know where the serial number is. I have looked and cannot find it anywhere

I just saw your post. I have the Maxspect Nano, the LS60 and the LS120. As you can see, I'm a fan. They are well made tanks. The cabinets are second to none. The on-board controller and app are an outstanding asset. I understand they are a little pricey, but quality products are typical higher in cost. In my opinion the only other system that competes are UNS. Now, I know there are a lot of other quality products on the market. But, when you look at tank construction, the cabinet layout and construction, these two stand out. Maxspect has the app and built-in controller and power center, a huge plus for me. Hope this helps.

My thoughts exactly! They did an amazing job with this aquarium! The power center and app are my favorite features. I just hope they update the app with schedules for the equipment.
