Stating that they aren't compatible because the cable connectors are a different size is different is weak...

OK, the prices are also different, because the power is different, you would not want to pay a 280 controller price for a 230 product, would you?

Actually, I don't want to pay over $120 to repair a pump that costs $120 new.

And I'm not buying into your controller incompatible scenario, sorry. You all could have made a universal controller for all of the gyre models and lines (Ice Cap, Red Sea, MaxSpect, etc...) without the slightest inconvenience. Different connectors, different power, different prices.... yada yada yada
