Maybe time for a trim?

First it was the pandoras/nuclear green palys growing up the glass, then the waving hand anthelias, then the Gracilaria hayi, then the enormous dragon's breath, and finally the Caulerpa racemosa var. peltata that is now growing over the invasive palys. Clowns are due for an upgrade if I don't start clearing out some space!... Naturally, my response to "should I get in there and trim some of these macros/softies?" is "No, I'll just get a bigger tank!"

Just be mindful of the paly's when tackling this. They have been fought for the light and have clearly stretched...just be careful of any sprayed juices if you happen to cut or tear them.......don't want you to become sick if you don't have your head in the game.

I'm sure mine have been the cause of some illness in the past when I've absentmindedly ventured into their patch.

That is some sort of turf algae that I cannot get off of their shells. I've scraped their shells and held them upside down in hydrogen peroxide for minutes (making sure it doens't go into their shell or touch their skin), but nope, grows right back. So now I just wait till their troll hair grows out a bit and then scrape it off once in a while.

My trochus’s grow ulva on their shells. It gets really long, and then I rip it off and throw it away. They’re my little algae scrubbers.
