Media on amazon safe?

Thoughts on this media. ? Other than dust. Appears to be pretty hard. Meaning unlike bio pure. You can’t crush it with your bare hands

I have used the one in the mesh bag and never had a problem with it

I might test a sample if water it’s bedn sitting in to make due its ot leaching Any nasties. .

I am sure it does not have nearly same surface area as biopure but should work.

Are you guys using this as not only your denitrator, but also your full biological. Ammonia to nitrite to nitrate to gas?

If they were solid in center , they'd be great for denitfication.
Don't laugh I use natural cat litter for trickle filter. $5 bucks 20lbs. Walmart. Does aerobic and anaerobic too.

I think if I were looking to add a media such as this today, I would just go with siporax.
