Hello. It seems weird I can't find this anywhere, but what is the difference between a media reactor (like the BRS GFO and carbon reactors) and a chamber in a RODI system? Aren't both just "up flow" chambers with different stuff in them? Thanks!

They are the exact same part number!!Hello. It seems weird I can't find this anywhere, but what is the difference between a media reactor (like the BRS GFO and carbon reactors) and a chamber in a RODI system? Aren't both just "up flow" chambers with different stuff in them? Thanks!
Interesting! I was feeling a little crazy because they seemed to be the same thing but no one had explicitly said that. I'm having some trouble imagining the hole you're describing. Any chance you could point out the spot on this diagram? They are the exact same part number!!
For the reactor, I’ve found that BRS just drills a small hole in the top of the housing between housing interior, and housing outlet, bypassing the reaction chamber!
— presumably this is to prevent the reactor feed pump from burning up if the reactor fully clogs; but, it also prevents people from using reactor housings as RODI filter housings effectively!
one of mine was drilled (badly), the other looked like they poked the hole with a hot wire (also badly)!
You can either melt this hole closed, use a sealant, or drill/tap for a nylon grub screw!
