Medications and high nitrates

Hi would high nitrates in QT effect medications effectiveness? Did not realize my cartridges needed to be replaced so soon (4-5 months) so my R/O was putting out water high in nitrates.. i replaced them and now its back to normal. But i am still dealing with Scribbled angels still showing not acting like they have some sort of parasite. They went through copper and general cure treatment but the nitrates may of been high for all or part of the treatments. Thanks

I don't think that they should - I suspect that all of us build pretty high nitrates between water changes in QT. IIRC, nitrates have to be really through the roof to have much of any effect on saltwater fish.
