Megabite's 180 Reef - Round 2

Mine was from low to zero nutrients
That’s what I’ve read about Dinos usually proliferating in low nutrient tanks. Mine is definitely not that!

This is a 57 watt so the dose is about the same at 500 GPH on the25 watt by my understanding.

Only thing is blacking out the tank for 3 to 4 days . At the time I didn’t have that much coral but I’m sure anyone who has done it with coral could let you know . I did the U.V. For 24 -7 while I had the Dino’s or at least during the most crucial period which the Dino’s were taking over . I like what some one said about coralsnow and plus adding multiples bacteria at the same times .

Thanks. I’ve checked this among a huge amount of other articles and post. I attack problems that I’m not intimately familiar with a lot of reading and listening to advice. Much appreciated.

I only had a 75 gallon tank but I always believe that how long the water stays in the U.V. The better it will do . Maybe if I had the 57 watt it might go up a little more as well as the size of the tank .

Here's that discolored area of the AD I mentioned last Thursday. I had a small matt of what looked like Cyano in that area that I suspect caused it. I blew it off but can see a little bit still there in the pic.

Looks mostly like discoloration as I don't think there's damage seeing that I have PE in the area.

Thursday Aquadelight update.

The Dinos haven't slowed it down and looks like the discolored area is healing once I blew off the Cyano from around the base.

The other BC competition coral I'm really happy with is the Pink Caddy. It's really starting to grow and color up nicely. Here's a week shy of 4 months growth.

Cool updates! Looks like things are super happy.

Curious: what's the return pump & tubing doing inside the DT? :)
LOL. Beautiful ain’t it? It’s a temp UV setup within the display for Dinos.

And yes, things are happy, colorful, and growing fortunately.

Looks good mane mine all browned out on me and I might lose 2 non competition pieces and I did lose the one sps tank comp piece. House ac went out and my tank made it to 85 degrees before I got it fixed
Man, I’m so sorry that it ended that way. That really sucks. I thought and hoped that you’d be able to keep the tank cool enough while getting the AC fixed. Browning out sucks, but hopefully the color comes back and they keep growing.

Good luck.
