I got worried for a second there that we were going to see you standing in the tide at some beach.

Corals are looking quite happy. Stability = happiness
Haha! I wouldn’t do that to you all. 🤣

Did you ever print the riser? I just printed a base with drawers that’s awesome. Even has a poop shoot that puts the wasted inside a basket in the drawer. Very cool design.

Yep, riser and base printed and in place. Sounds like we may have printed the same base.

You really don’t sleep much, do you? 😃

That looks great. Mine is similar, but not the same.

No, I do not sleep much.

I do like yours even if it has no purple in it. Nice and clean set up. I still have to print a couple of the tool mounts that connect to the side of mine because my micrometer won't fit anywhere else.

I am not sure if you should be worried that it seems we like the same things and looks of those things or if I should be worried that we seem to like the same things and look. Either way, I think there could be some worrying going on!

Hey, can you send me the link to your base? I like the compartments and mine lacks them. I had a plan to print some out today and you'd save me from having to search.

BTW - how are you liking the Comgrow dryer?

I had been thinking about the Eibos Tetra because you can dry while printing with it. However, I am holding off, for now, with the hopes that BambuLab will release a software update that might allow the same option. Additionally, I picked up a heated sealer which also sucks all the air out of the bag before sealing it. You can see it, in the pics, sitting to the right of my printer. I figure that by putting desiccant, in printed containers, into the bag when sealing it should keep it dry until I need to use the filament. Living in FL, we hit some high humidity levels.

No crap right? 🤣

Sure thing. This is the base P2S/P1S waste + tool integrated storage base. BIG print though. Took 3.5 spools of filament. Totally worth it. Printed in PETG with Sunlu High Speed filament. I really like how clean and nice it prints in "sport" mode.

I know about Florida humidity as I'm a native and lived most of my life in Miami and Orlando. I don't miss the humidity at all.

I really like the dryer. It's cheap and does what its supposed to do. I paid $60 bucks for it. It's still on sale if you're interested. Comgrow Filament Dryer Box, SH02

I can print while drying from it, but I only use it to dry while I'm printing other things. I just dried out some TPU and it printed nice!

Thanks! I'm just looking for the inserts that go into the drawers. I've already printed one for the poop section with a poop eoji on it so I don't get confused.

Hello all. It's been a bit and I've finally designed and installed my first 3D printed reef accessory.

My Neptune AFS (auto feeder) sits on my lid and feeds through the mesh. Everytime I have to take off the lid, I have to remove the feeder and put it elsewhere. Last night I had to take the lid off and the feeder fell for the last time. Today, I designed and installed this feeder platform for it. It's specifically designed to bolt onto the Reefbreeders BOT arms and works perfect. I'm very happy with the results.

Here's a bunch of pictures to get the visual. Happy reefing all and just incase you were wondering, the tank is doing great and will update with some photos soon.

Super slick! Who made your lid? I need to get one eventually when I grow up and leave my setup alone for a bit!

A few new photos I took today. 139 days since established. March 9th will be it's 5 month anniversary.

Acros are doing nicely despite elevated nutrients. PO4 sits at about .18 - .20 and NO3 at 18 - 20. KH about 8.3, CAL at 440, MAG 1400. All very stable with daily AWC (8% of total volume a week) and currently daily dosing 105 ml of Soda Ash and Calcium Chloride along with 210 ml of Part C. I also add A- and K+ trace in the Soda and Calcium.

Your corals look to be thriving! Nice work, and beautiful photos as I’ve come to expect from you.

BTW, I checked out the Eibos Tetra. Pretty slick. I like that is has independent chambers allowing to dry different filaments simultaneously.

They are slick, aren't they? Plus, I have yet to read about anyone who buys one not happy with it.

Speaking of 3D printing, I've got to go print some screws. I'll shoot a pic of what the screws are for after I put it together.

And for your bookmarks, if you don't already have it. (This guy has a bunch of "generators" on his MakersWorld page that can prove to be super-useful. So much easier than having to design some of the things.)

Nice find. Didn’t have this one bookmarked. Are you using Fusion for design or something else?

And back to reef related news for a moment. I wanted to give my thoughts on the Neptune Trident now that I've had it over 90 days. It's not cheap and I was a bit skeptical on how well it would perform based on some of the reviews. For me, it has been rock solid and very accurate.

Yesterday I pulled a sample of water to check with my Hanna dKH and Salifert for CA and MG at the same time the Trident was doing a test. The results were almost exactly alike. I've done this a couple of times and it's been very consistent. I'm really happy with the purchase.

dKH Hanna - 8.4
dKH Trident - 8.4

MG Salifert - 1380
MG Trident - 1390

CA Salifert - 440
CA Trident - 426
