Messing with my exposure compensation

Saw someone commenting on this on the forum and decided to play with it. When I moved from 0 down to between -1 and -2 it really made a difference in the color pop. Much more true to life.

Example of a Bowerbanki I've always struggled to capture because it has a light blue streak on top which gets glare from the lighting.

somewhere between -1 and -2 would probably be perfect to be true to what I see with the naked eye under blue lighting.

Also, I shoot RAW and use lightroom to adjust color temp but don't usually do any color correction (haven't really figured it out yet).

I have a 70D and still trying to figure it out

on mine it shows up on the screen as a line with -3 to +3 on it labeled as "exposure comp/ AEB setting"

Nice examples of how lowering exposures increases color saturation.

Another example of this Acan Maxima, virtually the same shot (slightly dif angle) under the same lighting and camera settings, only difference is that exposure.

Big difference in color pop to me. The orange and greens are true to naked eye in the second pic.

Do u use a lens filter ?
