Recently i had one of my bulbs crack and needed replacement fast. I was able to locally get a 10k reflux, cheap. I put it in and next to the 20k it looked like crap. Bright yellow white. But after a few days my LPS on that side of tank responded by really expanding. The welso and duncan have never looked better. Color is a bit washed out but the polyp extension i never had with radiums or phoenix, my two favorites. Maybe the par in my 24" tank is better with lower k.

The 10k is not my liking but the coral response over rides the color. Phoenix 14k i find closer to 20k, not sure if their par compares to other less blue 14k. So maybe try a 14k maybe ushio. Has anyone used them and can input remarks.
