@Randy Holmes-Farley, my power heads have inadvertently created an area of a DSB in a corner of my tank, and one particular tang likes to take a dump in that area. Over the past month or so there are black areas that have formed, some close to the surface. I’m assuming this is metal sulfide? Any risk of siphoning it out (not just disturbing it to kick up that stuff into the water column, but actually removing it), and if it smells like hydrogen sulfide, any risk during the siphoning process to the tank? What would you do?
