Hello everyone,

I’ve noticed these small bubbles everywhere, places like my sand and all over the rocks, the rocks in the tank are about 5 months old, but the sandbed is only about 3 weeks old since I recently moved, it’s caribsea live sand, if that helps, I’m wondering what these bubbles are, and if I have a problem and I’m also a bit dazzled on the white crustacean looking things on the back.

Thanks in advance:

Aw missed that.

It's either the beginning of cyanobacteria or unfortunately Dino.
Have you tested nitrate and phosphates?

Phosphates were at 0.02 last week, I don’t think they’ve gone done since, I’ve been feeding flakes and overfeeding frozen to get nutrients up, I’m going to do a phosphate and alk test this weekend, they do go away after a bit if that helps. I have seen my return nozzle shoot some micro bubbles out and I’m also wondering if it’s a surface agitation issue?
