Congratulations, beautiful nano:)

Thank you! It's young and I have had some failures but it seems to be progressing. I have a really hard time getting any paly's to open properly. Zoas are fine but any paly and they just kind of partially open or not at all. Everything else (like these Acans) are doing wonderfully.

Thoroughly understand, I loved palys but always had a problem with them.

Started using a new aquarium maintenance app called Aquarimate. Very nice little program. I actually enjoy testing the water parameters and this program helps me visualize the trends.

Nice. I have heard good things about it. I tend to use Excel or, lately, Google Sheets mostly because I like to customize. Either way, it is such a great resource to see the history of one’s aquarium.

Your tank is looking great. Are you still happy with the Chaeto reactor?

Yeah the chaeto reactor has been amazing actually. Only issue I have right now is that the Cobalt 1200 pump that runs it is failing. Marine depot is sending me another pump as we speak with no questions asked. If I have any issues with it, I am going to upgrade the pump to one of the new Innovative Marine DC AIO pumps that just came out. They look really nice.

Great tank! Look more spacious then a 14G and that chaeto reactor is very cool.

quick update pic after 1 month no water change. I am adding Red Sea Trace colors (A, B, C, D) plus 1 ML nitrate weekly to my ATO (plus kalk w/mg). anyway...ATO is my magic elixir. :-) couldn't be happier with results so far.

Very nice tank! I have only had 90g and bigger tanks, but I just picked up a 16g nano I want to setup in my 5th grade classroom. Curious how much and how often you topoff. The tank also came with a Rio600 return pump, but shaft was broken. Should I replace or what would you recommend I use? Thanks and following.

Hi Goody. I have and ATO installed. It refills about a gallon a week. I definitely recommend an ATO even for a nano.

I would upgrade the pump to an MJ1200 (Cobalt). It will fit in the 3rd chamber (assuming its a buocube) and will provide much better flow. Thanks for following!
