Hi, wondering what these tiny microbes are in my reef tank, viewed here through a hand lens. They have a distinctive shape. Thanks!

They don't harm anything. They can reproduce quickly though and smother coral. Fish will eat them, specifically wrasse.

They eat pods nothing else though

IME, melanarus, yellow coris, pink streaked, four and six line wrasses all eat them. I have had them in both my tanks with no issues.
