What is this new critter?

Hi, I just discovered a few of these in my tank. This one is less than 1/4 inch in diameter. Others a bit smaller. Appears transluscent, almost transparent, and gelatinous, maybe anemone-like. Shape tends toward round or ellipse. Has flourescent green dots or tiny tentacles. Sorry, this is about the best pic I can muster. They reside under the rock (the purple in this pic) against the sand bed in the middle of my tank. TIA!

Possibly a monjano. If so cover it with epoxy if you can. A better pic might help. May e under white light.

I would try running just white light and using a flashlight to improve image quality.

Otherwise, I will also have to guess alien lifeform because there aren't enough visual cues

That is under white light, but using a white flashlight didn't show me anything in real life. I shot that under whites but with a UV flashlight, because it is in heavy shadows under a rock. I will try taking a photo with a white flashlight.

Ball anemone, i have one as well. They don't seem to be bad in my experience. They don't become overwhelming like the aiptisa.

It's the only thing that makes sense, but the oval shape is odd and the fluorescent tips should be round as well

Sponges wouldn't be translucent and tunicates would probably be glowing throughout the entire organism and not only in a few spots. Hydroids would have fine polyps and probably grow aggressively.

You are probably right...

I have sponges (different kinds), I've had hydriods, not sure I've had tunicates though. A better photo might help but is not always an option. But from whats described it really does seem more likely to be a ball anemone.

The phot is challenging to make much out from, it just looks like a bob of snail eggs!

Based on your description, does it look like these ball anemones in-person?

They’re nocturnal, and will shrink down to a blob with glowing yellow spots during the day…

That bottom pic looks a lot like what I have. Same location relative to rock and sand, also. Thank you!
