I mean to state lanthium free is weird
Why don’t they say vinegar , vodka free etc

Also does Red Sea disclose their ingredients with nopox?

No, it was determined by an analytical chemistry professor by NMR in his lab.

So another unknown then ?
Isn’t that the same scenario then as thiis ? I mean someone gambled trying it when it came out

Nearly all hobby chemical products come down to trust since most folks do not test them before using them. You have to decide who you trust to get chemistry right, and who you do not.

The lack of users unfortunately doesn’t help me decide , good or bad
I did see a YouTube vid though of a guy with discus that reactor badly to it
Not sure how the 2 products would differ given the reaction with fresh or salt water

My 1 micron socks came today. I’m about to start dropping my phosphates using LaCl. I’m not swinging for a grand slam though when a few singles and doubles will do. That is to say I’ll be doing this fairly slowly. I have two beautiful tangs and I want them to keep thriving.

I’m battling cyano right now after a Mexican turbo snail death. That and the phytoplankton I’ve been dosing likely caused my phosphate rise. Thankfully my phosphates aren’t crazy sky high but they’re much higher than I want them right now. Once I get my nutrients back in check and the cyano starts receding I’ll start adding MicroBacter7 to help outcompete the cyanobacteria.

Understand this though! I’ve researched, researched, reeeeEeesearched the chemicals I’m using and the bottled bacteria as well. There are those who say MicroBacter7 won’t help cyano issues but most of them relied exclusively on it. Of course it doesn’t work that way. If you’ve ever dealt with dinos, you’ll learn to use a multi-pronged approach. Same with cyano and many other issues. Not all, but I’d say most.

Like Randy said, it really comes down to who you trust to get the chemistry right. If you research things like Phoshat-E and other such chemicals, and if they’re any good (and sometimes, like with Vibrant, when they’re not so good) there’ll be plenty of discussion on R2R. Usually, when there’s no disclosure of ingredients, it’s a huge red flag.

This product claims to be LaCl free but Vibrant claimed to not be an algaecide. Well come to find out it really WAS an algaecide. I’m pretty sure your product has LaCl in it too. If it walks like a duck, has wings like a duck, and quacks like a duck, well, it’s probably not an elephant, if you catch my drift.

It sure seems to me like there’s more evidence to suggest it IS mainly LaCl, or at the very least, lanthanum in some form. If they use lanthanum in another form (not sure what it would be but…) then it’s technically LaCl free and thus not a lie. I’m no chemist but even I know polymers aren’t going to reduce phosphates. So something fishy (pun shamelessly and absolutely intended) is going on.

Hey guys

Well I’ve been dosing this for 5 days now at 2ml a day , it doesn’t bother anything but I’m not sure it’s reducing po4 or not because I’m on reduced feeding
I’ve gone from .28 - .21 with in accordance to their instruction of 2ml per 100ltr I’ve only really done one dose
I’ve gone to 4ml today and will recheck the drop in a couple of days and will know if it is actually working
