New tank numbers

I cranked up a new 90g mixed reef 2 weeks ago. New live sand, rock, fish, and corals from old tank. I hit it pretty hard with Microbe-lift Special Blend and Nite-out and had a small diatom bloom about 5 days in but gone now. Skimmer juice is pretty dark, uv sterilizer and refugium running. Started dosing AFR for now. Alk 7.9, Ph 8.33, Phos 0, Nit 0, Cal 397, Mag 1360. (All Hanna)
Should I be concerned about zero Nit and Phos at this stage? Thank you.

I'd want some Nitrate and Phosphate if you have corals.

Mind sounds similar I’m about a month in though. I would definitely be worried about it. Dinos come off that. I would feed a lot or dose nitrates and phos if needed. I have a low fish load for now but feeding heavy to stay about 5-6 and .03

Yeah, I am kinda worried about that too. I just wasn’t sure if the chaeto is gobbling up the nit and phos. I have a 15g nano in the bedroom with a refugium gone wild so I harvested a ton of chaeto to start the new one. Thanks for your response. I’m

Should I be concerned about zero Nit and Phos at this stage?

If the intention is to grow corals, I would be worried about the zero phos. Corals require phos to grow and if it is zero they will starve, I prefer to measure 0.1-0.3 ppm. Rapid drying Phos is also detrimental to corals from my experience.

As for NO3, I prefer to dose ammonia that is preferred by corals. At the same time I do like to measure at least 1ppm NO3.

Fish, snails and other clean up crew does create phos and ammonia but it may not be enough.

If you deplete Phos and N in your tank corals and other things suffer and that is when Dino’s take over… That is my experience with my tank.

For reference I only use skimmer and GAC for filtration. I had issue with coral health when I combined too mane filtration methods.
