I have a couple colonies I’d like to frag and heal before my next swap. Watching online turorials, I’ve seen 4 techniques which have all claimed they are the correct way:
1. Bandsaw cutting between head along the border skeleton
2. Dremel to remove thickness, then sharp shears to snip out heads
3. Dremel to cut roughly through heads but only damaging two sides of the colony to help healing
4. Bone shears, rough cuts because they are unkillable and will heal even if it’s not perfect
Was thinking about getting a Dremel anyways for my torches and thicker SPS.
Which method is best?
Is it true that even if you cut through a head, it is still very likely to heal? I would like to use a coral saw but the investment doesn’t match the need right now. If it will just kill the coral heads though I won’t bother with the other methods.
