Looking for a microscope that I can hook to my Canon Dslr . Don't want to get too crazy on price but don't want El cheapo either. Looking to photograph critters, diaroms, etc...

I think you might have to have a little background in scopes to know how you want to approach it. ;)
I definitely need a recommendation.....or to just take what I can find on craigslist.

Even there, it's a ton to choose from if you don't really know what you're looking at.
For example, this toolmaker's microscope looks way cool for $100, but I have no idea if it would be usable:
Is something like this better though, or would I be better off with a lower power?

This looks similar, but different:
"LW Scientific Achiever Stereo Microscope....Dual 10x wide field eyepieces..."
There are also a range of student and toy microscopes in that same craigslist search that I've seen mentioned or recommended here or on the other forum before...should I start there?
