Hello!

I'm currently starting my first reef tank by converting my 50 gallon ADA.

Coral & creature wise I've really limited my thinking to only the hardiest, as I'm a team of one. I'm in no rush (most days). So I plan to focus the next few months on researching, reading & learning about as many applicable living specimens my brain can handle.

If you love softies &/or just have a great build thread a new hobbiest could benefit from please share below! As a visual & tactile learner I enjoyed what the BRS 52 weeks provided me. If someone could recommened other reliable sources to watch on youtube I'd be greatful.

Interaction is the best way to learn! So I appreciate how friendly & knowledgeable everyone is. Thank you!

Welcome home, you will love it here!

Keep us posted with your conversion with lots of pics! :)

Where in the Midwest are you from? Central Indiana here.

Welcome fellow Midwesterner. SE Wisconsin here

Welcome, fellow Midwesterner.

Nothing beats BRS videos. Beyond the BRS52 series, they have hundreds more that are equally as informative and great (such as the FAQ series, and BRS Investigates).

The old BRS vids from ~2010 are golden. Hilarious, yet still educational.

I’m not much into videos, but I can recommend all the best books if you are interested...
